Two Biggest Mistakes I See Buyers Make…

Buying a house is a big deal and although it can be a great experience I see buyers make the same mistakes over and over again.  Here are the two biggest errors I see buyers make so you can make sure you buy a home that you are happy with.

Number 1 is not educating yourself on the home buying process and researching the market, before starting to look at homes.

Meet with your lender and realtor to discuss questions and concerns. Start to research the market and browse homes online around 3 months in advance so you will understand the house and location that fits your budget.

Number 2 buying a fully renovated home with no room to gain equity.

Buying a fully renovated home leaves little opportunity for financial gains if you ever decide to sell.  First-time buyers, especially, should consider homes that offer potential for value-added improvements, such as adding a deck or extra bathroom.

If you are thinking of selling your home and want to know what you should do to your home to make it sell faster, drop a comment, send me an email, or give me a call.  I’m happy to have a no-pressure conversation so you can make the best decision for you.
