OMG! The 6 Best Date Night Ideas EVER, in Harford County!
Sometimes a night out in Harford County can be a little predictable and makes you wonder if there is anything else to do in this town? I’ve came up with 6 different date ideas for you to try, so you can get out of your rut and start having fun. I left my favorite one for last, so don’t miss it!
Date 1 is axe throwing and then hitting a brewery after.
My two favorite places for axe throwing have to be Crabby Axe in Bel Air or Route 22 Hatchet House in Aberdeen. Honestly, when someone first suggested I try it, I thought there is no way I would like doing that. Let me tell you, it was some of the most fun I’ve had in awhile. It’s great for a date because you can get a little competitive while laughing and it’s BYOB too.
After that, hit a brewery for some drinks and food. If you go to Crabby Axe, Alecraft Brewery and Independent Brewing are right down the street. You could also hit Falling Branch Brewery, Double Groove Brewing or Slate Farm Brewery as well. If you end up at Route 22 Hatchet House try Hopkins Brewery or if you want to venture into Havre de Grace try Battery Island Brewing or the newly opened Market Street Brewery. These are great places to go on a date because you can hear each other talk and there is usually some form of entertainment like a band or games to play. Trying flights are a good way to learn about each other’s tastes and just fun to do.
Date 2 is dinner at The Vineyard Wine Bar, Dessert at Les Petits Bisous, Coffee or tea at Concord Point Coffee and then a walk at The Promenade.
If you wanted a little fancier of an evening. Somewhere to go where you can do everything within walking distance is Havre De Grace. First, grab an amazing dinner at the Vineyard Wine Bar and bonus points if you can score a table out on the patio. They have an enormous wine selection and a great menu that has something for everyone.
After that grab dessert at Les Petit Bisous which has the most delicious French Macarons I’ve ever had. Take these and get a coffee or tea from Concord Point and go for a romantic walk on the Havre De Grace promenade. If you really want to go big book a room at the Vandiver Inn. Remember to check the store hours so you can plan accordingly.
Date 3 is an elegant evening at One Eleven Main and then candle making at Aroma Candle Studio or You Make Scents Candles.
Start off with dinner at One Eleven Main. Their menu is top notch and their wine and cocktail selections are fantastic as well.
When you are done you can walk right across Main Street to Aroma Candle Studio or You Make Scents Candles and sit and make your own candles together. It’s super fun because you get to choose your own scents and a great way to enjoy time together.
Date 4 is walking through the flowers and having a picnic at Ladew Gardens in Monkton and then Jarrettsville Creamery for ice cream.
Date 4 is more of a day date and that is having a picnic and walking through the flowers at Ladew Gardens in Monkton. You can bring your own food or you can call ahead and get an already made lunch at the Ladew Café. Sit and eat and then walk through 22 acres of amazing gardens that include a nature walk and butterfly house. Make sure you check their website for different events they have throughout the year.
When you’re done head down the road to Jarrettsville Creamery and get yourself some ice cream to finish off your date.
Date 5 is a hike or picnic at Rocks State Park, Kilgore Falls, Susquehanna State Park, or Eden Mill then stopping for ice cream at Broom’s Bloom Dairy.
Any of these locations are beautiful and somewhat close to each other and offer trails, while Kilgore Falls has a hike to a waterfall and Eden Mill has kayak ramps, if that is more your speed.
Once you’re hiked out, drive to Broom’s Bloom Dairy and get some well deserved ice cream from one of the best places in Maryland.
Date 6 is one of my personal favorites and that’s going mini golfing at the beautiful Mountain Run mini golf in Fallston, dinner at Earth Wood & Fire and dessert at Rita’s Italian Ice.
The course is creative and fun and just so happens to be located next to Earth Wood & Fire which is where I am going to suggest to go for dinner and drinks.
Earth Wood & Fire After you eat you can walk next door and get Rita’s Italian Ice for dessert. It’s a great evening that’s low key and fun and you never have to leave the parking lot.
