Little Known Things to Do, in Harford County, in the Winter
So winter in Harford County can be a little depressing and a little boring if you don’t know the right things to do! Fear not, because I have came up with a bunch of things that you or your families can do so you can get out of the house and start having fun. Read to the end to hear the most out of the box ideas that you might not have thought of, even if you live here.
If you like getting out and doing activities these ideas are going to be for you.
First up, is going ice skating at Ice World.
Its winter, so getting a little colder won’t hurt and plus its fun.
Second, is Jurassic Golf.
It’s indoors which is great and its neon, glow in the dark, which is cool.
Third, is axe throwing at Crabby Axe or Route 22 Hatchet House.
I’ve talked about these places before on another video and guess what? I still like them.
Fourth, take a yoga class at Love Evolution Yoga Studio.
It’s an awesome way to get your energy and stress out and they even have kids classes!
Finally, go bowling at Forest Hill lanes.
The kiddos can have bumpers if they need them and it’s always a good activity to bring the competitive side out.
If looking for more creative or artistic things to do, these next ideas will be for you.
First up, is Amazing Glaze where you can go to paint your own pottery.
You can walk in or they have some really cool events.
Second, is the Purple Bicycle which is more for the kiddos but hey they need to get out too!
So not only do they have sewing classes and art classes but they also have themed workshops, teen nights and family paint nights.
Next, is Made Me Mine which is a place that have specific themed events to make different crafts.
You can also rent the space for 2 hour windows to work on your own craft. Just make sure you reserve your spot ahead of time!
Finally, there is Board and Brush which is where you can make your own DIY wood signs.
They also have different workshops all month long. They have ladies nights, family nights and cocktails and craft events.
Say you are looking for something a little more low key.
There are several movie theaters in Harford County that you can go to including Fallston’s Horizon Cinemas which even serves alcohol.
Another thing to try would be the Book Club at Market Street Brewery.
They meet every 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm so you can grab a drink and get enlightened.
Speaking of breweries there are several throughout Harford County that have some amazing events going on throughout the week and weekends.
So if you want to get out of the house and do something new give one of them a try. Bonus points you can drink while doing it.
Finally, as promised if you want some out of the box ideas give Harford Community College or The State Theater in Havre De Grace a try.
They have some amazing events from concerts, to ballets, to wrestling, and drag brunches there are is probably something for everyone. Most people don’t think of trying those places but they truly have some great things to do and the best part is you don’t have to drive far to do it.
